CDC's 20th Anniversary Ball & Showcase
On Friday, May 6, 2005, our club will be holding its
20th Anniversary Ball and Showcase. Barbara Ferchuk and Brent
Smith, (American Style Smooth & Rhythm Professional Dance Champions
from Vancouver), will be helping us celebrate with a
special dance showcase during the evening.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with supper at 7:00 p.m. and dancing from 8:30
p.m. until 12:30 a.m. Dress is semi-formal. Ticket prices are $25
for members and $40 for non-members. Tickets for this dance will be
sold in advance only, and seating will be limited. To get your
tickets, please purchase them at the April 8th dance. If you are
unable to make the April 8th dance but would still like tickets,
please send us an email (classic@sfn.saskatoon.sk.ca) and we will send
you information on how to purchase them.
Dance Workshop
As part of our 20th Anniversary Celebrations we will also be
hosting a Dance Workshop on Saturday, May 7, 2005. Barbara Ferchuk
and Brent Smith will be the instructors. Lessons will be held at
Dance Saskatchewan Inc. located at 205-A Pacific Ave. Saskatoon. The
cost for the day is $20 for members and $40 for non-members. The
lesson schedule is:

Our remaining dance dates for the first half of 2005 are as follows:
- Friday, Apr. 8, Lesson: Triple Swing
- Friday, May 6, 20th Anniversary Ball & Showcase - No Lesson
- Friday, June 3, AGM - No Lesson
Annual General Meeting
The CDC's Annual General Meeting will be held on June 3, 2005. Once
again, we are looking for people who would be willing to serve as an
executive member for the upcoming 2005--2006 year. This year sees a
slightly higher turnover than average as a number of members are
stepping down. If you would like to help the club as a member of the
executive, please contact any current executive member.
