Dance Dates

Our 2003-2004 Dance Dates are currently the following:

To start off the year, your Social Committee has decided on a ``Movie'' Theme (complete with music, popcorn, and soda pop!) for the September 19th dance. We encourage you to use your imagination and dress up as your favourite movie idol/character to help set the mood. The Lesson will be Jive, so bring your energy too!

The Procrastinator's New Year's Ball held last January was a huge success so we will be hosting another one on January 2, 2004.

Music Committee

New music has been added to the CDC Music Library during the summer. We would like to thank everyone who contributed. If anyone has CDs which you are willing to share, please talk to Garry or any member of the Executive. Your help is appreciated.

President's Address

As we begin our nineteenth year, it gives me immense pleasure to see that, with the endeavours of a very busy, capable and enthusiastic TEAM, the ``dance experience'' continues.

Despite the weather being uncooperative for our Annual Ball held in April, many of you came out to support the event. I would again like to thank everyone who helped or performed. Keep in mind that we will have another Showcase on April 2, 2004 in case you would like to join in the fun!

On a more personal note, while holidaying in Quebec, Garry and I were fortunate to attend one day of events at Dance Sport Montreal hosted by former Canadian Dance Champions Pierre Allaire and Mireille Veilleux, whom some of you have seen, either on PBS, or at Dion's Showcase last year. We especially enjoyed the quality of the dancing and the well organized event. The music, the floor, and the enthusiasm were superlative! Hopefully, we can impart some of that feeling to you this coming year. To my incredibly wonderful TEAM - Hugs & Thanks for another fabulous year!

Yours for the love of DANCE,

Lisa R.
