Classic Dance Club

December 2002 Newsletter

Season's Greetings!

December 6th is a little early for a Christmas dance, so we decided to go with a slightly different theme, calling it an evening of "Romance." Accordingly, the dance lesson will be Rumba, the "dance of love."

Procrastinator's New Year's Eve Ball

With the holiday season moving at its usual hectic pace, we have decided to turn our January 3, 2003 dance into an extra special event. Plans include: a special lunch, confections, prizes, and an action-packed dance program. Please note that in order to accommodate all the festivities the Triple Swing lesson for this evening has been cancelled, and dancing will begin at 7:45p.m. Don't miss out on what promises to be a very exciting evening!

President's Address

It has been a wonderful year so far, and a delight to meet so many of you. Your comments and feedback help us in providing the best evening possible. We do care about each individual's concerns and try to keep remarks in perspective. As the old maxim says: "You can never please all of the people all of the time," but we do keep trying! Thank you to all for the "positive" comments which inspire us most.

For all their support, loyalty, and hard work, I would especially like to thank the Executive Committee. The various tasks they perform independently and cooperatively help to keep this Club viable, strong, and a joy to be shared.

We are very fortunate to have Solid Sound (Serena, Meaghan, Rob, and sometimes even Martin) as our D.J.s. They always take pride and keen interest in their role, and we are most grateful to them. Also on board this year is our cashier, Afton, who we think is doing a lovely job.

Once again, we feel truly blessed to have the P & P Hall with its superb dance floor and accommodating staff. As we look at booking dance dates into 2004, your support is invaluable.

Warmest Wishes for a Happy Holiday Season!

Lisa R.
